Since we live in Colorado, making this decision may be easier said than done. While we do have 300 days of sunshine, mother nature can also be unpredictable. I’m sure you already have the perfect spot picked out but are you prepared for the chance of extreme heat or thunderstorms? Don’t worry – Benson Tent Rent can help!

Let’s start with weighing your options. Is being outside really important to you or would you be okay with just taking photos outside? Is there a venue available that would allow you to set up a Sailcloth tent but also have space available inside just in case? Do some venue-shopping and give yourself some options! When you find a space that inspired and excites you, you’ll know.

The next thing to think about is whether or not you want the ceremony and reception to be in the same location. It is fairly common for couples to have a beautiful, brief outdoor ceremony and then take the reception inside or under a tent to cool off a bit. In a Colorado summer, this may not be a bad idea since it helps prepare you for unpredictable weather. Remember, tent receptions are a beautiful way to enjoy the outdoors without being totally exposed; AND we can put up walls to help keep the air conditioning in!

As you plan for your big day, remember to keep your local weather patterns in mind as you decide on your venue. As we said before, the best thing you can do is find a venue that will allow for you to have a convenient plan B if the weather is really not cooperating.

No matter what venue you choose, whether you’re inside or outside or both, you can’t go wrong as long as you love your option. Especially with the backdrop of the Rocky Mountains, outdoor weddings can really be magical. The experts at Benson Tent Rent are here to help you plan your perfect day – give us a call today!
